Requirements for Global Visitors

The following persons do not need a visa to enter into the Commonwealth of Dominica:

Persons from the following countries wishing to enter into the Commonwealth of Dominica for a period not exceeding six months:


Persons from the following countries wishing to enter into the Commonwealth of Dominica for a period not exceeding three months:

Any in-transit passenger or bona fide tourist who is in possession of a return ticket and satisfies the Immigration Officer that he/she does not intend to remain in the State for a period exceeding twenty-one days.

Passengers on tourist’s vessels. It must be noted that travel to the countries are subject to change. It is strongly advisable that the relevant Government authorities and agencies are contacted prior to travel arrangements made.

Applicants for a Schengen Visa have to determine which Schengen Country constitutes their final destination and supply fingerprints and digital photos along with their application to the embassy or consulate for that country (It only has to be done once).

Animals/Pets Health Guidelines to Acquire an Importation Permit

. The animal must be examined by a licensed and accredited Veterinary authority in the exporting country, and a certificate issued indicating the health status of the animal.
. The animal must be free from internal and external parasites.
. The animal must be tested and treated for Heart Worms and certified Heart Worm free for export.
. The health records indicating the Immunization Status of the animal must be provided with a current DHLPP+ C Immunization Record or any other endemic diseases of importance.
. Dogs and cats coming from all Countries must be immunized with an approved Rabies Vaccine by an official veterinarian stating type, serial number, date of expiration and date of administration, at least 30 days and not more than one(1) year prior to exportation of animal.
. A blood sample must be taken from the animal and sent to a reputable Rabies Reference Laboratory to perform the RNATT*/FAVN, and the result must be sent directly to the Veterinary Services prior to issuing an import permit.The test result must show a serum antibody level of at least 0.5 IU/mL.
. The test must be done not less than one (1) month after vaccination with an approved Rabies Vaccine.
. An Import permit will be issued once the requirements are met, and sent to the importer by fax or email.*RNATT- Rabies Neutralizing Antibody Titration Test
. Animals and associated documents will be examined on arrival at Port by a Quarantine Inspector who reserves the right to reject or accept the animal based on its condition.

N.B. Please note that the test takes 3-4 weeks or longer before a result can be obtained. Please be guided by this information in relation to your travel plans.

How to obtain a Dominican

special marriage license

Follow these guidelines in order to obtain a special marriage license:

. Obtain Marriage Application Form (Form G) (PDF, 34 KB) and List of Required Documents for Grant of a Special Marriage License.
. Present completed form and other required/relevant documents to the Ministry of Social Services, Community Development and Gender Affairs. One of the under listed officers will be available to assist you:
  . Assistant Secretary.
  . Minister’s Secretary.
  . Permanent Secretary’s Secretary.
Pay relevant fees at the Accounts Section after the documents have been reviewed.
Please note:

. For those wishing to meet the two day residency requirement (EC$300.00), the license will be processed within three (3) days.
. For persons opting for no residency ($EC500.00), await preparation and approval of license or return within specified time.
. For weekend and holiday weddings ($EC704.00) applicants will be required to contact the Ministry of Social Services office at (767) 275 3612.
